Campsite Wardens

The friendly faces who keep Fox Coverts running smoothly

Every group that arrives at Fox Coverts is greeted by something special — a warm welcome, a safe environment, and the reassurance that help is always close by. That’s thanks to our dedicated team of Campsite Wardens, the volunteers who ensure every visit runs smoothly from start to finish.

Wardens are the heart of the campsite’s day‑to‑day operation. They’re the first people groups meet when they arrive and often the last to leave at the end of a busy weekend. Their calm presence, practical support, and deep knowledge of the site help leaders focus on what matters most: giving young people unforgettable adventures.

What Our Wardens Do

  • Welcome and support visiting groups — helping with arrivals, showing people around, and making sure everyone feels confident and prepared.

  • Open and close the site — ensuring buildings, facilities, and activity areas are safe, secure, and ready to use.

  • Provide on‑site guidance — offering advice, answering questions, and being a reassuring point of contact throughout a group’s stay.

  • Monitor facilities — keeping an eye on equipment, reporting issues, and helping maintain a safe environment for young people.

  • Help the campsite run smoothly — from managing bookings to coordinating with the maintenance team, wardens keep everything ticking along behind the scenes.

Wardens don’t just look after the site — they look after the people using it. Their support helps leaders feel at ease, young people stay safe, and every visit become a positive experience.

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Become a Warden and help keep the adventure alive.
